Kids Create is a lively workshop for children ages 7-12 that encourages learning about the visual arts as well as historical and cultural traditions. This workshop includes a thoughtful gallery discussion and story to accompany a hands-on art project inspired by the CHICANITAS exhibition. Kids will use what they have learned through visual observation and cultural discussion to create their own small painting. Kids Create encourages kids to explore a variety of mediums, from paint to charcoal, pencil, pastel, ink, clay, and more. All materials are provided!
Space is limited. Reserve your spot now by submitting the form below. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis and requires a $10 fee per child (non-members). We also ask that a registration form is completed for each child. You can submit this form ahead of time to stephanie@montereyhistory.org, or bring it with you to the class/workshop.
The Museum of Monterey gratefully acknowledges ARTMAX for their generous donation of acrylic paints for education programs!
